3rd/4th

Youth lacrosse team, dayton Ohio.

Overall experience

At this age we will not allow kids to “only play one position“ they will be expected to play all positions except goalie.

Goalies will be expected to only play one half or one quarter depending on how many volunteers we have. All goalie specific equipment will be provided by the club (Stick, approved chest protection, throat Gaurd, padded pants, and shin guards)

Offense

We will continue building our fundamental skills we learned in k2 and incorporate new and slightly more advanced concepts and sets. Our version of open and virginia sets will be primarily what we run along with rules for each set. A bigger emphasis will be placed on passing/catching now because of field size and they are now able to understand how to operate as a team

Defense

This will be where we introduce more advanced defensive concepts and start to build defensive rotations using crease slides, adjacent slides, doubling the ball, and how to clear the ball after saves

Required equipment

The equipment required to play is a big upfront expense and creates a barrier to entry for some families. we reduce the cost of anyones first year to the cost of the jersey to help get more kids playing the sport

They will need nocsae approved equipment to play

helmet (white or athletic gold preferred but any color works), gloves, stick, elbow pads, shoulder pads, cleats (soccer/football/lacrosse all work) and mouth Gaurd
